If you haven't checked out Kandee Johnson's tutorial on how to apply liquid and cream eyeliner with a homemade angled eyeliner brush then go do it now!

Here's the link to her blog:

And to her video:

I tried this out with my Physician's Formula cream liner and while I'm still working on the winged technique, I can definitely say my gel liner has never looked more even! I've always been such a slob when it comes to liquid liner and I more or less gave up on it in high school.  I never knew how the girls at school could make such even lines with that flimsy little brush that comes with the bottle! Now that I know their secret, I'll definitely be trading in my eyeliner pencils for a while.

Here's my homemade brush:

This brush has natural hairs and I just used it to try this out because I had it laying around. It's on the soft side to make a precise wing, so I'll be heading down to Micheal's to find a cheap synthetic brush that's a little shorter and firmer. For those of you without pliers, I found a wrench worked just fine to bend the metal neck.  Overall, I was super excited about this tutorial! It's just icing on the cake that she provided a DIY brush that will save us around $20+.

Have a great week! <3
